RETREATS

Retreats are a huge part of SAIL! They give our sophomores time to have fun, bond, and work on leadership skills. There are three retreats during a sophomore's time in SAIL: one in the fall semester when our sophomores first get in to SAIL, one at the beginning of the spring semester, and one at the end of the spring semester. The first two retreats are planned by the directors, but the sophomores in the Service committee have the opportunity to plan the End of the Year Retreat.

The Monday night before Thanksgiving, SAIL comes together to have a potluck dinner and celebrate this holiday as a "family." The Style committee facilitates this event and every sophomore brings their favorite Thanksgiving food item to share with the organization. It is the perfect time to reflect on the fall semester of SAIL before finals start and everyone leaves for winter break.

STRIVEK

STRIVEK is a new philanthropy event hosted by the Strive committee in the spring. The purpose of this event is to develop leadership within our sophomores by utilizing community outreach, coordinating with local high schools, and fundraising for a good cause. All of the proceeds of this event go to local BCS high school seniors entering their first year of college in the form of a SAIL Scholarship. In Spring 2022, SAIL was able to award three $2,000 scholarships to local high school students.

CAR WASH

Car Wash is SAIL's major fundraising event! Held in the fall semester, our sophomores come together to sell tickets around campus for people to get their car washed by SAIL. Sync designs the tickets, posters, and reserves Sevick's for this fundraiser. Car wash is always a blast! Click below to see our 2017-2018 Car Wash Video

PARENT'S WEEKEND

The weekend of Texas A&M's Family Weekend, SAIL holds a Parents' Weekend event that allows our sophomores to introduce their parents to their SAIL friends and show them what they have been working on during their time in SAIL. This event is coordinated by the Style committee and includes the chance to buy SAIL apparel for your parents as well as snacks and plenty of photo opportunities.
